The most important measurement for your paper roll is the width. Using a ruler, measure from side to side the face of the paper that your printer prints on. This measurement is the paper width.
The second important measurement is the roll length. Measuring the roll of paper can be difficult. The easiest way to physically measure the roll length is to find a long flat surface, such as a table or counter top. Measure the length of this surface. Then unroll the paper along the flat surface, and count how may times you go from end to end. Multiply this number times the length of the surface to get the length.
